"Kachemak Bay is so incredible. It is my passion and my life. Otters, whales, eagles, barnacles, plankton… every bit of life in Kachemak Bay depends on one another for survival. The fact that I get to share this beautiful place with travelers from around the world is an unimaginable blessing."
Rick Harness, A Seaside Adventure owner and guide.
Kachemak Bay is noted for it's emerald green waters. One of the richest ecosystem of the North Pacific is located in the Tutka Bay area. Sea life flourishes in these nutrient filled waters. Sea stars, octopus, crab, salmon, halibut, sea otters, sea anemones, porpoises, and whales are just a sampling of what our neighborhood has to offer. Forest song birds, shorebirds, eagles, and seabirds live in our front yard. We have nesting eagles within a few paddles strokes of our house. We also take our guests to pristine sites most people don't know about. The photo opportunities are unlimited. Canon Photo Safari and National Geographic have been some of our guests and they both told us how we made their trips a success. Whether exploring Kachemak Bay areas by boat, kayak, or on foot, we promise to make your Alaskan dream a reality. As pioneers of eco-tours in Kachemak Bay, we have the experience to make it happen.
We are proud to announce that we received a Best Of The Road Award by Rand McNally. You can find the information in the new 2011 road atlas and on Rand McNally's website.
Thanks for the tour of Kachemak Bay - it was a breathtaking adventure that I will come back to again and again when looking for serenity and calm.

Thank you for taking us on at the last minute. Our time with you was incredible!!! The kids are telling their friends of all the things we did and all the things we saw. James is showing off all the sea urchins while Katrina is showing all her shells. RJ and Alex can't stop talking about the "Beach Soup" and all the artifacts. We can't wait to visit again! You are two very special people in a very special place. I can't tell you how happy Rene and I are that we found you again. We have passed along your website to many people. I hope they all get to discover what a wonderful place you have. We hope to see you again before we leave Alaska. Please take care!
Thanks Again! Jane and Rene Leon
Hi, Rick, Dorle, and Mandy!
I want to take the time to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay with you! What an experience out of the ordinary! I, personally, am still trying to take in the fact that I actually went kayaking!! It was spectacular---and Bill agrees. And Dorle, your beach soup was so good! We are still talking about that! I'm still amazed that all of those edible plants were so pleasing to the taste buds. Your bread was also quite tasty. As for Mandy, your cookies were "perfect"! lol
Bill and I both agree that we almost felt like we were leaving family members behind when we departed your island. We needed a couple more days! Vikki and Bill Collison
