A Seaside Adventure, where you feel like you stepped into the Discovery Channel, as Jim Carrey put it. Abundant wildlife, breathtaking scenery, leisurely kayaking exploration around the protected Herring Islands awaits you. Your life-long Alaskan hosts, pioneers of Ecotours in Kachemak Bay, will personally guide your small and intimate kayak tour. Come for the day, or stay a while in our beachfront cabin, and we share with you the secrets we discovered over decades of guiding in this area.
Kachemak Bay is noted for it's emerald green waters. One of the richest ecosystem of the North Pacific is located in the Tutka Bay area. Sea life flourishes in these nutrient filled waters. Sea stars, octopus, crab, salmon, halibut, sea otters, sea anemones, porpoises, and whales are just a sampling of what our neighborhood has to offer. Forest song birds, shorebirds, eagles, and seabirds live in our front yard. We have nesting eagles within a few paddles strokes of our house. We also take our guests to pristine sites most people don't know about. The photo opportunities are unlimited. Canon Photo Safari and National Geographic have been among our guests.
We are proud to announce that we received a Best of The Road Award by Rand McNally. You can find the information in the 2011 road atlas and on Rand McNally's website.
